Inter-House Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition

Birla School, Pilani organised the Inter-House Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition 2026–27 on Thursday, 3 September 2026, in an enthusiastic and dignified atmosphere. The programme commenced with a soulful Saraswati Vandana.

The competition was organised with the objective of nurturing students’ interest and appreciation for the Sanskrit language, while promoting the values, traditions and cultural heritage of India. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their talent through the recitation of various Sanskrit shlokas with correct pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, clarity and expressive delivery.

The competition was conducted in two categories:

  • Junior Category: Classes 5 to 8
  • Senior Category: Classes 9 to 12

Junior Category

  • First Position: Parth Sarathi, Class 8
  • Second Position: Harshit Agrawal, Class 8
  • Third Position: Alok Singh, Class 8

Senior Category

  • First Position: Aprameya, Class 11
  • Second Position: Dhananjay Chaudhary, Class 10
  • Third Position: Raghav Goyal, Class 10

The competition provided students with a meaningful platform to strengthen their respect and pride for the Sanskrit language, Indian knowledge traditions and cultural heritage. The event concluded with congratulations to the winning students for their outstanding performances, while the efforts, enthusiasm and dedication of all participants were highly appreciated.
